1.        This is a team event. Team will consist of one or two persons with one exception. A third person may accompany the team           
            provided the third person is under 16 years of age or over 65 years of age. Six (6) rod limit rule still applies.


2.         Sign up will be day of event, sign up will be open two hours before event and close 30 minutes before event. Cash only! No       
             checks, no exceptions.

3.          Boats will leave launch site, by water, random  drawing will determine launch order.. Trailering will not be allowed.

4.          Teams must compete from a boat and remain within 50 yards of boat   during competition.  Fishing within 50 yards of a marina    
               gas pump or within 50 yards of a competitor's boat which was first anchored is prohibited.

5.          All fish weighed must be caught by rod and reel only.  A maximum of 6 rods per boat may be used, except where state limit is    
               set at a lesser number.  No catfish may be taken from trot, jug, or limb line.

6.          Teams must comply with state fishing and boating regulations, including the use of PFDs and kill switches.  Fishing and             
               boating licenses are the responsibility of team members.

7.          Fishing hours for day time events will be 7am - 4pm.  Night time events are from 7pm - 8am.
            Pro-Am is from 9am - 5pm.   Special Event Tournament is from 10am - 10pm.

8.          Any legal commercial or natural bait will be allowed.  No chumming of any type during tournament hours.

9.          Blue Catfish, Channel Catfish, or Flathead Catfish may be weighed. A team limit of 5 fish maximum must be alive to weigh in.      
               All fish will be released.  Possessing more than 5 catfish at the weigh-in will result in disqualification.

10.        The use of mobile communication devices such as cellular phones, marine radios, etc. to communicate fishing information       
               during tournament hours is prohibited.

11.         In case of a tie for a qualifying team.  The team with the biggest fish will win.  If a tie still exists a coin flip conducted by the      
                tournament director will decide who qualifies for the Cabela's King Kat  Classic and any prizes to be awarded.

12.          Any protest must be made in writing to the tournament director within 30 minutes following the end of the official weigh-in. A
                 protest must state the rule number(s) broken.

13.          The use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited during any Kansas City Catfish activities.

14.          Wanton unsportsmanlike conduct may be grounds for disqualification if circumstances require.  Decision of the Tournament  
                 Director and/or appointed rules committee will be final.  No refund of entry fees or big fish pot monies in the case of                
                 disqualification.

15.          No pre-fishing on the day of tournament.  You can be on the water the day of tourney to catch bait, but no catfishing.

16.          Kill switch and life preservers must be worn at all times the main motor is in operation.

17.         Navigation lights must be on whenever the boat is in motion and white (stern) light must be on when anchored.
              From dusk til dawn.

18.      No Stringers allowed,  the use of decoy type bags is still allowed.  We are trying to send a good conservation message and
              promote the image of catfishing to the public.  It is highly advised to use some sort of livewell system in your boat to insure
              that all catfish are released in the best possible condition.

19.         No length limit on the fish you may weigh.  We will weigh any catfish you catch no matter what size.

4th place paid 20+ boats

Payout percentages adjusted according to boat count.
